City Sustainability Master Plan “Green Plan”

Prepared a “Green Plan” for the City under the EECBG funding program. Key elements included Land Use and Community Design, Efficient Transportation, Green Building, Storing and Offsetting Carbon Emissions, Water and Wastewater Systems, Waste Reduction and Recycling, Renewable Energy and Low Carbon Fuels, Climate-Friendly Purchasing, Promoting Community and Individual Action, and Energy Efficiency and Conservation for the City for utilization in pursuit of its sustainability goals. A solar PV assessment consisted of site assessments and conceptual site layouts of city facilities. An economic evaluation consisting of construction cost estimates, system performance modeling, financial incentive evaluation, and economic modeling of the top sites to assist the City in prioritizing projects for inclusion in the Green Plan. The Green Plan activities sought to integrate and inform other processes such as activities involved in updating of the City General Plan, community outreach and engagement efforts, and others.
