Nicole's passion for renewable energy was realized in high school. Her father asked what she wanted to do with her life and she told him she wanted to be an environmental engineer so she could protect the environment and the animals that depend on it. That steered her path to Humboldt State University, where she studied environmental engineering, with an emphasis on alternative energy.
Nicole started her career in the energy space, working for World Energy Labs, later becoming Global Energy Innovations, as a scientist studying batteries and fuel cells to optimize performance and determine state of health to reduce risk for clients that required a high level of confidence in backup energy supply.
Her desire to help others and learn new skills brought her to Nevro, a medical device company with a mission to help people who suffered debilitating back pain. There she was fulfilled with the mission of the company and expanded her knowledge and skills working for both the finance and sales departments. She continued to expand her skill set in sales operations at Boyd Corporation.
Nicole had a strong yearning to move back to her deeply rooted passion to help the environment. She joined OurEnergy excited to apply her broad range of skills to help the company move forward in our mission to pursue sustainability with respect for the Earth and each other.
